Annual Weed Pulls

Annual Invasive Species

Weed Pulls

on North Hadley Pond

Watch this page for warm weather dates!

Why? Because it’s FUN to be in small boats
pulling weeds from the lake –
and because aquatic water chestnut
is creating environmental havoc
for native species and recreational users
in the Connecticut River watershed.

What? We all go out in canoes, kayaks
and small boats and pull out water chestnut plants.
The plants pull easily. Bring your own boat,
paddle and life jacket or use ours.

Who? Folks have fun every year-
we get a lot of returning friends –
but the more hands the better. Best for ages 12+.

Where? Come up to the boat ramp
at the bridge by Lake Warner –
corner of Mt Warner Road and River Drive (Rt. 47).
