Get to Know Lake Warner is a series of cultural and scientific events to connect local communities with the natural beauty, recreational resource and historical significance of Lake Warner, a 70 acre lake in North Hadley.
The Friends of Lake Warner will organize and promote a series of events featuring Lake Warner as the centerpiece. These events include:
Headline Event - Karrin Allyson Benefit Concert

Five-Time Grammy Nominee Karrin Allyson, vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and good friend of The Pioneer Valley, to perform at the North Hadley Congregational Church for a Lake Warner Fundraiser. Come join us for an intimate, fun, musical afternoon featuring her signature mix of styles along with the venerable Ted Rosenthal on piano, and stunning Noriko Ueda on bass (all 3 are based in NYC) . Sure to be another warm-hearted FUN fund- raiser

Birding with John Green

John is a naturalist, nature photographer, and experienced birder in Pioneer Valley. For over five decades, John has led environmental education programs at the Hitchcock Center for the Environment and worked for the US Forest Service outside of Philly and then later in one of the field units at UMass Amherst conducting bird surveys. John will lead a walk on the Lake Warner peninsula and share his insight on bird ID, calls, and migration patterns.
Geology Tour on Mt. Warner with Richard Little

Explore the geologic history of Mt Warner with renowned local geologist Richard Little. On this two hour hike we will explore the unique geologic features of Mount Warner.
Outdoor Art Workshop with Julio Neijens

North Hadley Congregational Church
Join Julio Neijens for a fun art session painting and drawing the natural landscapes of Lake Warner. Julio is an artist based in Deerfield, MA. He graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he majored in painting and drawing. His paintings have been shown in exhibitions in Chicago and New England. Julio is a landscape and portrait painter.
